ABOUT

Cassandra Massey, JD, MA, AMFT #143043

Cassandra is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping couples transform and heal their relationships. Her professional career began as a divorce lawyer, where she witnessed the devastating impact of unresolved conflicts. Determined to make a difference, she transitioned to helping couples learn how to identify and heal from destructive relational patterns and cultivate the skills to build strong, loving, and resilient relationships, so that they and their families can thrive.

Cassandra specializes in relationships. She has advanced training in several relational modalities, with her primary models being Relational Life Therapy, the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and attachment theory. By blending her unique expertise working with high conflict couples as a family mediator, her systemic experience and education as a marriage and family therapist, and her extensive training as a relationship coach, Cassandra has crafted a unique and impactful method for couples committed to improving their relationship and growing together.

Why This Matters

Growing up in a conflict-ridden home, Cassandra personally experienced the challenges of strained relationships. This background fueled her commitment to help couples break free from dysfunctional patterns, forge deep emotional connections, and achieve lasting intimacy. Happily married with two children, Cassandra has gone through her own transformative journey, which deepened her understanding and empathy for the couples she works with.

As a divorce lawyer, Cassandra saw firsthand the devastation unresolved relational conflicts can cause. Families torn apart, years of painful litigation, substantial financial loss, and profound emotional harm were all too common. Children living in high-conflict homes are at an increased risk of mental and physical health challenges, difficulty forming healthy relationships, and experiencing behavioral, social, and academic problems.

Cassandra’s mission is to help her clients prevent these outcomes by providing them with the tools and support they need to create a loving, stable environment for themselves, their families, and future generations.
